HISTORY

January 7 – UP StatSoc was declared champion for this year’s Stat Wars held at the Rural High School Covered Court in UP Los Banos.
February – UP StatSoc was the 1st over-all booth bidder during the USC Bagsakan for UP Fair 2011.
March 11 – UP StatSoc’s official Facebook page has posted its first ever post
July 14 – UP StatSoc sponsored the movie screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 at Cinemas 1 and 2 of Trinoma. Tie up organizations were OBEM, Pi Sigma Fraternity, UP KAS, UP GE Club, and UP Laya.

February 27 – StatSOOK, an exhibit with the goal of promoting statistics, was launched at the 2nd floor of Palma Hall.
March 1 – UP StatSoc became one of the global participants for the International year of Statistics (2014).
April 22 – Jump In Stat Freshies (now known as Jump STAT: Jumpstart your UP life now) page was created with the aim of welcoming and guiding incoming Statistics majors.
August 5 - 8 – UP StatSoc held a week-long food fair at the AS Parking Lot.
September 8 – UP StatSoc held its first ever fun run named Rundom: A Marathon with Random Twists and Surprises.
December 2 – Sigman, the official mascot of UP Statistical Society, was introduced

July 25 – Trends, UP StatSoc’s official online shop, was created.
October 1 – UP StatSoc was awarded the 25th National Statistics Month’s Best Youth Advocate for Statistics.
October 11 – UP StatSoc held Outburst: Fun Run for a Cause, with part of its proceeds going to its target beneficiary, CRIBS foundation.

Feb 29 – UP StatSoc started the initiative Pulse which aims to promote Statistics by providing relevant and exciting information on trends and issues. The theme was ‘elections’ and was recognized by ABS-CBN.
May – The new 2016 Constitution was proposed.
October 3 – UP StatSoc was once again awarded the 26th National Statistics Month’s Best Youth Advocate for Statistics.

January – StatSoc moved to its new tambayan at the New Statistics building.
February 5 – UP StatSoc held another fun run named Outburst 2.0: A Dash for Love, after the success of the first Outburst, in which the beneficiary was Barangay Culiat’s Oplan Tukhang.
